More Puzzle & Cards games
This Uno game is a browser card game in the Uno style; its welcome screen calls it "Four Colors". You play against computer opponents, and the goal is the familiar one: get rid of every card in your hand before anyone else. Unlike a single quick hand, a full game here is a race to a points target, so one lucky round does not decide it.
Starting a game
After the start button you pick how many players sit at the table: 2, 3 or 4, counting yourself. A short tutorial then walks through the cards. Everything is done with the mouse or, on a phone or tablet, with taps: drag or click a card to play it onto the pile, and click the deck to draw when nothing in your hand fits.
The rules in this version
- A card can be played if it matches the top card of the pile by colour or by number.
- Draw Two makes the next player take two cards and lose their turn.
- Skip stops the next player.
- Reverse flips the direction of play around the table.
- Wild can go on any card at any time and lets you choose the next colour.
- Wild Draw Three also changes the colour and makes the next player pick up three cards. It has a catch: you may only play it when you have no other card that fits.
When you are down to your last card, press the round "1" button. If you forget, you are handed two penalty cards, and the computer players get the same punishment when they slip up.
Scoring
When a round ends, the winner collects points equal to the cards still left in the other players' hands. The first player to reach 250 points wins the game.
| Card | Points |
|---|---|
| Number cards | The number printed on the card |
| Draw Two, Skip, Reverse | 20 each |
| Wild and Wild Draw Three | 50 each |
The game is available in seven languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian and Russian.
Tips
- Get rid of your action and wild cards when you can afford to. If someone else goes out while you still hold them, they are worth the most points to the winner.
- Keep a Wild for the moment you cannot follow colour. It saves you from drawing.
- Make the "1" button a habit. Two penalty cards right before you would have won are a painful way to lose a round.
- In 3 or 4 player games, watch who is close to going out and aim Skip and Draw Two at them.
