More Puzzle & Cards games
Yahtzee on this page is Playtouch's browser version of the classic dice game, which the game itself titles Yatzy Yahtzee Yams. It gives you five dice and a digital scorecard that adds everything up for you, and you can play alone for a high score or share one screen with friends.
Players
When you start, you choose how many people are playing, from one to four. The scorecard has a column for each player, labeled P-1 to P-4, and the game tells you whose turn it is. Everyone plays on the same screen. At the end the results are ranked first to fourth, and a new record stamp appears when someone beats the best score saved on that device.
A turn
Tap the roll button to throw the five dice. The code allows up to three rolls per turn, and dice you mark as held stay put on the next throw while the others are rerolled. Once you are done, choose a box on the scorecard to fill. Before you commit, the game shows what each open box would be worth with the dice you have, which saves doing the sums in your head.
The scorecard
The card is split the traditional way:
| Upper section | Lower section |
|---|---|
| Ones | 3 of a kind |
| Twos | 4 of a kind |
| Threes | Full House |
| Fours | Sm. Straight |
| Fives | Lg. Straight |
| Sixes | YATZY |
| Sum and Bonus | Chance |
The upper section is added up into a Sum, with a Bonus line beneath it, and everything feeds the TOTAL at the bottom. Every box can be used only once, so the game ends when the card is full.
Playing on any device
The game is controlled entirely by clicking or tapping, so it works the same with a mouse or on a touch screen. The interface is translated into a long list of languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Turkish, Korean and Vietnamese.
